Question 615. - Can a master of a schooner, not being owner or part owner, make a vessel liable for the cost of a cargo of grain? If he buys a cargo, giving in payment a draft on a third party not interested in the vessel, can the holder in the event of dishonour look to the vessel or her owners?
Answer. - We think the master has no power to make the vessel liable for the cost of purchasing a cargo.
