Question 70. - A bill drawn at Bank B is sent to Bank \ for collection. The manager of the latter procures from the drawee a power of attorney to accept the bill on the usual form. Is Bank B entitled to require that this power of attorney shall be lodged with it when the bill is presented for payment?

Answer. - We think that where a bank pays an obligation entered into by a customer through an attorney, it is entitled to have lodged with it the evidence of that attorney's authority, that the practice of attaching the power to the draft the proper one to follow.
