On wet rocks at Half Way Brook, Cape Breton Island, N.S., Aug., 1898. (Macoun.) Juneau, alt. 3,000 feet; also at Salmon Creek and Gold Creek Canon, near Juneau, Alaska. (Miss G. Cooley.) In fine fruit at Skagway, Alaska; sterile specimens at lakes Lebarge and Lindeman, Yukon. (Williams.)

988. B. flexipes, (Ren. & Cardt.) Kindb.

Leaves as in B. acuta, but often falcate; costa denticulate above, short-excurrent. Perichetial leaves gradually acuminate. Capsule as in B. acuta; pedicel flexuous arcuate, yellow above. Tufts green or yellowish green.
