Three tablespoons flour, 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 tablespoon milk, 1/2 saltspoon salt, 1/4 saltspoon red pepper, 1/8 saltspoon nutmeg, yolk of 1 egg. Mix the dry ingredients; add the milk, yolk, and the butter softened. Stir well with a spoon, and when smooth, divide the dough into two parts for rolling. Roll very thin, cut into strips 3 inches long and bake 15 minutes in a slow oven.
Mrs. Wesley Minta. One cup grated cheese, 2 eggs, butter the size of an egg, a little red pepper and mustard, and flour enough to roll. Mix cheese, butter and flour; add the other ingredients; roll thin and place in long shallow pan. Gut crosswise with a knife or tracer, into narrow strips the width of straws, and bake. Watch carefully or they will burn. Grated cheese may be sprinkled over the top before baking.
