A travelling newspaper paragraph says that a horse disease "known as trembles," was recently brought on " in Ohio" by colts eating this plant. As Eupatorium purpureum, the "Joe Pye weed," is eaten by cattle in these parts without injury, and the common " Bone-set," Eupatorium perfoliatum, is used as a tea in some cases by human beings, though refused as food by cattle from its bitterness only, it will be well to postpone giving the pretty Eupatorium ageratoides a bad name, till further evidence be offered.
