This society has had the wisdom to establish auxiliary societies in different counties of the State, and in this way is better able to represent the condition of things over its whole territory than where these aids are wanting. A large portion of the volume is devoted to the very interesting topic of forestry, and there is a digest of the proceedings of the American Pomo-logical Society, which was a matter of so much interest to Michigan last year.
