[A bad case of Red Spider. Syringe the plants with water and then sprinkle with sulphur. If one or two trees are particularly valuable, and worth a little trouble to save, hot water at 135º from an engine or syringe, if the hands can be protected, will instantly kill them. - Ed. G. M].
