The colour effect of fruit may be equally as effective as the colour effect of flowers. Some fruit is effective as a combination of colour against the background of green foliage. Other fruit is effective because of its colour at a season of the year when the foliage is gone. Many more plants should be used for the colour effect of the fruit than are now seen in our landscape plantings.
