Thymol is a phenol derived from the volatile oil of Thymus vulgare (Fam. Labi-atce). It should be kept in well-closed containers.

Thymol internally is specific for uncinariasis duodenale. Dose, 1 Gm. a day, avoiding oils or fats in the meanwhile.
