Description and Properties. - hite, granular powder, odorless, 2Na3C6H5O7'+ 11H1O. It slowly effloresces on exposure to dry air. Soluble in 1.1 parts of cold water and in 0.4 part of boiling water; slightly soluble in alcohol.
Dose. - Average dose: 15 grains (1 Gm.), U. S. P.
