Definition And Description

Naevus pigmentosus, or pigment mole, is either a simple macular discoloration or a somewhat elevated and dark-oolored excrescence, visible at the time of birth, and rarely undergoing change,* except as to size, which may increase in relative proportion to the general bodily growth.

Treatment

The macular form is rarely meddled with; the elevated form may be destroyed by caustics, electrolysis, the actual cautery, or excision.
