By the first law of the heavens, which is "Order," there are influences of a general nature for each year of life. The year of life is. of course, one year greater than the age. For instance, if one is 45 years of age at the last birthday, then the year of life would be the 46th, extending from the last birthday to the next birthday. On the wonder wheel between each of the pictorial signs, you will find numbers arranged like this.

There are seven numbers in each sign. The above set is in the sign Aries (see wheel). The particular sign that the year of life in in shows by its nature, tablet, lordship and horoscope correspondences, what the influences and interests are that may be expected in that year of life.

Now find your own year of life and read it just as you have read from a birth point, and make your own story out of the combination.

To assist you a little, here are a few brief ideas concerning the years of life, which you may read by noting the number of the sign in which you find your year of life, and reading from the same number in the following. For instance, if your year of life was found in Leo, then the sign number would be five, and you would read from the paragraph following, numbered five:

1. - You are starting upon a new cycle of horoscopal experiences, and your life is mustering its forces; hence your energy is on the increase and you are liable to force matters, brave dangers or court injuries. You should guard the health of self and those dependent upon you, and avoid trouble through friends, relations, or in courtship. Not safe to venture upon the water nor where there is danger of accident, or dislocations. Journeys are apt to be of a fretful nature, short, or on pressing private business. You will be restless, instable, and engaged with associated interest, gaining through love or business, triumphant over enemies, and, according to sphere of life, be favored with gifts or heritage. The year is naturally strong for good or for evil, because, by a natural law of humanity, the life force in you is strengthening, as it was at birth, more independent than ordinarily.

2. - This is a good year for Pecuniary Benefits. Other influences may be against you, but this one is for you, therefore you should encourage all the financial good that you can, - not by expecting it to come by some luck or chance, but by exercising this good influence or planetary vibration . that is operating upon yourself, giving you more vim, or courage, in such directions. You may more easily win in this year the aid of influential protectors, or protection, yet, you must be on your guard and not offend, because there is, in the nature of things, danger of sudden reverses and of some of your friends turning enemies. There is always such danger in everyone's life when financial influences are good, and it is largely due to the difference in the acts, or speech, of those upon whom the influence is operating. There are opportunities shown for a journey, but at home or abroad, look out for large animals.

3. - Danger in this year of offending superiors, or kindred, or loss of friends or goods, through a natural law of affliction, discord or enmity. Many changes and change of circumstances are denoted. Be careful and make the changes beneficial rather than detrimental by not giving offence to others. You will be disposed to be useful.

4. - This is a better year for business, through this order of influences, than for affectional affairs, therefore look more for business favors than for affectional favors yet despise neither. Gifts, heritage or good will is promised, according to your sphere of business life or standing. Your family connections are likely to travel, and personally you should guard against falls, or drowning if near to water. Falls may be had in the estimation of others as well as bodily falls, and the effects of drowning may occur in drinking as well as by being submerged in water. Good attention to business is the best advice for this year of your life. Your tendency will be ambitious.

5. - In this year of life there is a tendency to travel, moving or roaming about, with kindness and benevolence denoted, and fortunate opportunities, or assistance. If marriageable there-will be opportunity to marry. In spite of the otherwise good, look out for some perfidy or treachery. You will be disposed to manifest more pride than ordinarily.

6. - Moderate prosperity is denoted in this year of life, yet it would be safe to trust no one, and no thing of a dangerous or troublesome nature as some form of adversity contradicts or modifies the good, through struggles, accidents or sickness. Your tendency this year is to be magnetic.

7. - This is another year of life in which superiors or kindred may be at variance with you. Also danger of robbery, fire, or some inflammatory trouble, together with change of circumstances. This year if marriag-able, is favorable to marriage. Your intuitions will be strong..

8. - In this year of life chronic or old complaints or troubles are liable to return or sickness or trouble due to excesses. Bad friends are quite liable to manifest. You will be disposed to be more critical and discriminating in your tastes.

9. - This is a good year of life for business, courtship or travel with danger of reputation through scandal, or in lighter veins, some comments in disapproval of you or your operations. You will be apt to betray some form of lordliness or superiority.

10. - This year of life shows some family affliction more particularly with females. On the whole the year is good for males, but not so good for females, and especially bad for females whose age falls in the sign No. 4, (as further explained). Your tendencies this year will be domestic.

11. - This year of life shows secret enemies and devoted friends, together with short journeys, or removal, anxieties, afflictions principally in the moral sphere, through aspersion of character, or disapprovals. You will be quite active in mind and body.

12. - This year of life is a completion of the cycle, and like the 12th house conditions, threatens obstacles, hatred, sickness, persecution, or tra-torlous friends. It is a year of life that promises little good in anything. Look for good, if any, in the age number, or trust to some higher influences. Your tendencies will be "determination."

These ready-made judgments of the various signs, apply correspondingly to the houses of the horoscope, and any analytical mind, with good judgment may use the hints therein for all kinds of astrologic work. If any planet at any time is in these houses or signs as numbered, they work with the matters of their own nature. The reading, then, of a life, depends (beyond what we have given) entirely upon the ability of the reader.
