Where, in an action by plaintiff for commissions on a sale of defendant's property, defendant alleged an abandonment of the contract, statements of plaintiff that he continued his efforts to dispose of the property were competent on the question of whether he had abandoned the contract. When a broker employed to find a purchaser, after repeated efforts, stated to the owner that he could not "sell the place," it indicated an abandonment of the agency. McFarland v. Boucher, 134 N. W. 91, 153 Iowa, 716.
