An offer to marry the female after the commission of the offense is no defense, even where by statute marriage of the parties would bar a criminal prosecution.111
But although a willingness to marry the female is no defense yet it may be shown in evidence for the purpose of determining whether or not she really was seduced, and in mitigation of punishment.112
