1 cup Gold Medal flour.
2 cups graham flour 2 tablespoons sugar.
1 teaspoon baking powder.
1/2 teaspoon soda if sour milk is used.
1/2 teaspoon salt.
1 egg.
1 cup molasses.
1 1/4 cup milk (sweet or sour).
Raisins chopped.
Sift together the dry ingrenients. Add the well beaten egg, molasses and milk. Add the raisins, lightly floured, last. Beat well and bake in two small loaves forty-five or fifty minutes. A delicious base for open sandwiches.

1/2 cup cornmeal 1 1/2 cups graham flour 1 1/4 cup sour milk or butter milk.
1/2 cup molasses 1 teaspoon soda Pinch salt.
Add sour milk and molasses to well sifted, dry ingredients. Steam three hours, then bake 20 minutes.
