Aberystwith, a seaport town of Cardiganshire, Wales, near the outlet of the Ystwith and Rheidiol, 39 m. 1ST. E. of Cardigan; pop. in 1871, 6,896. It is a bathing place, and has considerable commerce and extensive fisheries. In the vicinity are many lead mines.
