3lb. ground chuck
1 cup Quaker quick oats
2 eggs
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup cracker crumbs
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
1 TBSP chili powder
Sauce: 1 cup Domino's dark brown sugar (packed); 2 TBSP Heinz
ketchup; 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke; 1/2 cup chopped onions; 1 tsp. garlic
powder
In a large bowl add ground chuck, quick oats, eggs, 1 tsp. garlic
powder, pepper, milk, cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup chopped onions, salt
and chili powder--mix with your hands until well mixed. Form the
mixture into quarter sized to fifty cent piece sized meatballs and place
them in a greased 9 x 13 glass baking dish. In a separate bowl add
brown sugar, ketchup, liquid smoke, 1/2 cup chopped onions and 1
tsp. garlic powder--stir until mixed. Spread the brown sugar mixture on
top of the meatballs. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes,
then uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes longer or until
browned.
